My name is Sue Watson. I have been the School Counselor at Davis Elementary School for Technology since 1989. The School Counseling Program is a developmental program in which the needs of the students are met through classroom lessons, small group counseling and individual counseling. The purpose of the School Counseling Program is: to help students develop self- understanding and self-awareness; to build self-confidence and self-esteem; to encourage students to recognize and make the best use of their abilities; to give students an opportunity to talk about educational and personal concerns; to encourage students to recognize, understand and work through learning difficulties; to help students adjust to school and home environments; to develop the student's awareness of the world of work; to teach decision-making and problem-solving skills; to help students establish and maintain healthy relationships with others; and provide opportunities for students to be successful.
